Anyway, nothing much to post, just feel that studying is really wearing out people. Isn't it better if there is at least 1 year break after secondary school before moving on to Poly/JC or similarly university before Poly/Jc. Its tiring and people lose their motivation.

Haloz! even though i should be busy mugging for the next 3 consecutive exams. i wanted to post regarding a thought xD.

Academic excellence ; Class segregation.

well. GCE O level is a major exam for us secondary school schools ; excluding IP students who have the privilege of eliding GCE. The reason for that is because IP students have shown academic excellence and thus do not need any further examination to grade their academic ability therefore , assuming practical eminence in later stage of life.
The only stumbling block that they have is maintaining constant academic result to ensure that they remain eligible to stay in the IP program.
We normal students on the other hand, only have to maintain normal academic results to stay in our current stream and work hard to score well in GCE O.
Despite the fact that IP students do have to study harder than most of us. The main aim of IP is to seperate the 'talented' future leaders from the 'normal' average citizens. Academic results are used to determine a person's ability of leadership. Isn't it weird?
The system of nurturing a person's talent is suppose to be the IP programs main aim. However, it has shifted dramatically since the year it has started.
Is the IP system creating segregation between the ''élites'' and ''average'' people?

Edit2: Is IP a necessity?

well. no offence to any IP students out there! its just a thought. feel free to answer it if u have an idea ^^. i will be deleting this post the next time i login. cuz some ppl might claim that it is discrimination. However, i just wan to let ppl knw that i do not discriminate anyone. This is just a thought! There are debates regarding this issue after all ^^.

"A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other is disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?
Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make................

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.

While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

For me I would have let the train continue becoz death of one kid alone is lonely... and he chose the unuse track which was the rite choice.. so he shld nt hav deserve to die..

so long since blogging.. cuz com hav problem wif blogger.. no choice... this morning woke up around 7+ than went to bathe and go sch for debating training.... go there no one than just walk around... than wanted go find jasmine cuz she surely in sch than saw her half way and walk wif her to library.... than the others came as well... but shikin was late... lols... the coach was called wei yang sia... after that he talk to us and we intro ourself than do some brain storming on our motion given by him " This house believes that parents should be blamed for their childrens juvenile crime..." after that brainstorm liaos than debate... i extra in my group nia... cuz 5 against 4 ... so i be judge wif wei yang ... so is 4 vs 4 ... than jasmine need go training so in the end after that 3rd speakers all finish than i be the reply speaker... than finish liaos than he told all of us our problems and stuffs like that... after that debrief than go home liaos... i rush home wif dad than bathe and go liaos... go for wat?.... last week thursdae and fridae had sec orientation camp... hahass... veri tiring nia... slp onli 2 hrs in the end... haish... so tired... some more camp commander worzz.... jealous mahs?... lolss... any way..

principal talk veri long than the camp front part hav alot of problems... so i step down from group ic .... than how i knw get promoted to camp commander nia... ok... unofficially... hahass... than first thing to do is let mr lee knw... after that time to solve some games part... hahass... solve liaos than go prepare lunch... than not careful make mei qi angry... who knws?... after that went to cheer all the groups up than go check out again the lunch set up... after that they eat finish than cca fair... hahass... solo alot of parts in if we hold on together nia... hahass... the song i can play so well is cuz i think of her worzz... hahass... and she beside me when playing nia... of cause sure happy!... after that talk to the sec 1s abit than finish the cca fair than let them go change into camp fire clothes... than cuz rain so no camp fire must hav inside hall... than they scare burn hall so never use any thing... so veri sianzzed... but nvm... hav me and shikin camp emcees nia!... sure can!... hahass... campfire was successful worzz than sing if we hold on together again... hahass... after that night sentry duty immediately after put down bags... hahass...sorry worz guys!... no choice mahs... the sec 1s so naughty... than i patrol 11 - 12.30 than go slp for 1hr 30 mins than patrol again... hahass... than patrol finish liaos wanted slp but no place... so me , chong han and rong sheng set up camp at the corridors there!... hahass... than at there talk ... than lata 2 of my meixz both join us... hahass... after that told them the reason we slp out ... because : " no choice mahs... inside hav teacher snorting... so come out hav fresh air better... more healthy for body...
